The Unliving Caretaker, level 15 Controller (Leader)

Have you seen Hush, one of the better episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Our Unliving Caretaker is a conceptual brainchild of the Gentlemen, and we tried something a little different with the Caretaker's leadership capacity by allowing him to hand his actions to the golems he leads. We think it works.

You may have noticed that we've ommitted the Lore section for our 4e critters (by accident, but we'll be adding them soon), and that we've recently added colourful descriptions of our 4e critters (on purpose, and we hope you like them).

Some might call these short, descriptive monologues a waste of space and time, but we think they add a great deal to our monsters. While players seldom say "that monologue was awesome, Mr. DM," it's a sure thing that a good description will add to an encounter, and therefore the chance that your players will say something similar about the gaming experience as a whole.

But we could be wrong. What do you think about the creature descriptions? Let us know by leaving a comment below.

NICE! I have a caretaker as well... The Caretaker, but these are more of a permanent resident / undertaker of a tomb or gravesite. They make sure everything there is dead, and stays dead -- including the PCs

Cool, Jonathan; I think I might like yours better. It definitely captures a theme and sticks with it all through its statistics, where mine is starting to feel a little unsure of itself... I'm even starting to think I stumbled right at the beginning by misnaming it.

Ah well, live and learn. :) I'll be updating all my critters over the next couple of weeks to include lore and descriptions, and a few other touches i've noticed are missing here and there (thanks to you and other critter creators out there).

Thanks for taking a look!
