4e Giant Pistol Shrimp
Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 06:33PM So, here's the first critter I converted to 4e. The total time I spent on this was about two hours. Please pardon the blog formatting. Comments of the experience to follow. For now, enjoy the shrimp.
Giant Pistol Shrimp
Giant pistol shrimp are aggressive defenders of their submarine homes, attacking without provocation or mercy anything that enters their territory.

Reach 2; +11 vs. AC; 1D10+4 damage and the target is grabbed (until escape).
Stunning Blow (standard; at-will)
Close blast 2; targets creatures; +9 vs. Fortitude; 1d6+4 damage and all targets are stunned until the end of the giant pistol shrimp's next turn.

Giant Pistol Shrimp Tactics
Giant pistol shrimp always enter combat with their stunning blow, and use it liberally to soften up their enemies until they can feed. Unresisting meat is stored in the shrimp's home (a cave, or a giant turtle, snail, or clam shell).
