Dire Nuts!

So, it’s uglier than a grell, but I’m rather proud of this crafted-with-love large-sized bear I put together originally for a 3.0 game I was playing as a Gnome Druid (best, class, evar).

You can even see that he's a 5'by10' critter from back in the day when all critters weren't square.

This critter was created with pipecleaners, almond, walnut, and hazelnut shells, wire, paint, craft “fur,” too much glue, and voodoo. Sometimes you just have some time to kill at your parents’ over the holidays, all right? Besides, sitting down and crafting this guy (plus my dire snake animal companion and a whole forest of weighted egg-carton trees) was relaxing and fun.

The pipecleaner arms were great as I could get my mini to grab my enemies when I used my improved grab.

That bandit doesn't stand a chance against the Dire Almond! Rawr!

Am I the only one who has created/creates homemade monstrosities for use in tabletop gaming? I certainly hope not.

Enjoy the pics, and let me know what you think.

Nice. So I guess your answer is yes, I am the only one making ugly homemade minis. :)
